appreciate that there are times in our lives when we are confronted with situations that we are not sure how to deal with or that we feel unable to deal with. We also appreciate that it can be difficult to talk about these situations and the idea of seeking professional help can be daunting.
At Confidant we are trying to make it as easy as possible to help you by using the latest technology to allow you to choose a method of contact that you feel most comfortable with and by allowing you to remain anonymous if that makes you feel more comfortable.
We also hope to provide help and support to people who do not have professional services available in the area where they live, to people who would never, for whatever reason seek professional help, to people who may find it impossible to attend professional
services because of work or other commitments, and to people who cannot afford the cost of traditional professional services.
We
offer several methods of communication with us and you can choose
the method that you find the most comfortable and the most
convenient.
You can change the method at any time if you find that it is not
convenient or you find that you are not comfortable with it.
All communication with us is confidential and privileged in the same
way as conventional face to face counselling.
We do not release any information that you have given us to anyone
without your permission unless we are required by law to do so.
We suggest that you carefully read about each method using the links
on the left of this page and choose the method that you prefer.
We appreciate that choosing someone to confide in can be difficult
so we offer a free initial consultation so that you can tell us a
bit about your problem and you can assess our response and decide if
you wish to proceed.
We do not insist on knowing your identity and if you feel that you
can discuss your problems more freely by not revealing your real
identity that is fine with us.
We take all reasonable steps and employ the latest technology to
ensure that all communications are safe and secure.
